The technological transformation based on artificial intelligence (AI) carried out by Telkomsel has again received international recognition.
The largest telecommunications operator in Indonesia won two prestigious awards at the 2026 Asian Telecom Awards held in Singapore.
In this event, Telkomsel won two main categories, namely Telecom Company of the Year and Technology Innovation of the Year.
The award from the Asian Telecom Awards itself is known as one of the benchmarks for the reputation of telecommunications operators in the Asian region. The assessment is carried out by an independent panel that assesses the company’s strategy, the success of technology implementation, and its impact on customers and the industry as a whole.
AI Drives More Reliable Networks and More Responsive Services
One of the main factors that made Telkomsel win the Telecom Company of the Year award was the application of AI and Machine Learning technology in various company operational lines.
Telkomsel has currently implemented more than 100 AI/ML use cases which are used to improve network quality, speed up customer service, and support automation of information technology systems.
One of the important innovations presented is the Autonomous Network concept, namely a smart network system that is able to predict potential disruptions before they occur. With this technology, the network can make adjustments and repairs automatically in real time.
The impact is quite significant. This system is able to reduce the duration of network disruptions up to three times faster and improve response to network incidents by more than 40 percent.
Telco Verify 2.0 Presents Secure Verification Without OTP
Apart from improving the network and customer service, Telkomsel also won the Technology Innovation of the Year award thanks to digital security innovation through Telco Verify 2.0 technology.
This solution features a SIM-based number verification system that allows users to log into the application instantly without the need to use an OTP code. This technology is the first in the world to be integrated directly with Google Firebase Authentication.
With an operator network-based verification method, the login process is faster, automatic and safer. This system is also able to reduce various digital security risks such as OTP interception, SIM swap, and account takeover which often become loopholes in the digital authentication process.
This innovation is very relevant for various digital industry sectors such as banking, fintech, e-commerce, and other digital services that require high security systems.
This technology is also in line with the GSMA’s global initiative through the Open Gateway program, which aims to open up operator network capabilities to application developers in a more standardized and integrated manner.
Telkomsel’s Commitment to Build Digital Trust
Telkomsel’s Director of Information Technology, Joyce Shia, said that this award was recognition of Telkomsel’s commitment to providing a safer, simpler and smoother digital experience for the community.
“This award confirms Telkomsel’s commitment to strengthening digital trust and providing a safer, simpler and smoother experience for the Indonesian people. Through Telco Verify we provide carrier‑grade authentication to protect users, while strengthening digital ecosystems such as banking and fintech,” he said.
In addition, the widespread application of AI in various company operational lines shows Telkomsel’s real steps in transforming into a trusted digital enabler that supports Indonesia’s digital future.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
