Boedy’s journey into the boarding house business actually started with a warm gesture as a child. In 2018, Boedy took over the land assets unemployed owned by his mother, just to fulfill his mother’s request and without any further business plans. After 6 years had passed, Boedy’s entrepreneurial radar felt that this land asset located at the strategic point of Bintaro could be maximized into a promising business investment, and this is where the idea to start his first boarding house business emerged.

“In my opinion, boarding houses are a very promising business for the long term, capital for my children in the future. This business will not quickly reach break even point, it may take more than 5-6 years. However, I understand that people will always need a place to live. This is different from trend-based businesses like padel which may quickly return on investment, but we don’t know how long the trend will last. I feel that the boarding house business very rarely ‘dies’ as long as it is managed well and professionally,” he said Boedy.
