Betrayal Blog: Quick Update

Hi all of you

Just giving you a quick update on AoT and other things that interest me.

For starters, I’m making progress with playtests. You can see my list of things to accomplish at www.playaot.com. At the bottom I have a list showing how far we are from launch. Once all the ticks are green, the Kickstarter will be running smoothly.

Can I just say. I love those who have supported me this far – thank you so much for your help, time and effort. This is much appreciated.

When I have more videos, we’ll be able to really engage in a marketing push. All I ask is that if you like the product or what I have to say – and you want to support me – then share, share, share! This will be very helpful.

Upcoming Blog Ideas:

• I’ll be doing a blog post about the roleplaying games I’ve been working on, on and off, for a while now, and other ideas for games and general thoughts on the game.
• I’ll cover Gab.ai, Vidme, alternative social media, globalism and autarchy and why I think this is so important in the modern world (there will likely be two or three posts)
• I’ll be doing a post about some of my favorite games and why I think they’re so great – and why you might like them, or might not like them.
• Of course, I’ll also keep you posted on anything AoT related, and anything in my life that feels important, or if I have any words of advice or wisdom.

A bit off topic, but I wanted to say that I’m very excited about Trump’s inauguration. I look forward to seeing how things develop in America. I have a lot of hope that Trump will succeed, and I’m very excited to see if he will.

Some people may not like it when I talk about politics, or they may think I should separate politics from my work. Let me be clear: I am a very curious person by nature, and trying to separate me from big issues and often polarizing questions like religion, life, and politics is like trying to separate me from my body. I’m like a modern Socrates. I just have to ask questions even if it kills me. But I try to do it respectfully. All I ask is that you do not crucify me for thinking and having an opinion. And I also ask that people do not draw conclusions or assume anything about me just because I like to share my opinion. My actual political views are unclear, and may surprise you.

I found this election cycle to be one of the most polarizing, violent, and divisive election cycles I will likely see in my lifetime (at least in America). If people want to raise the number to 11, that’s their prerogative, but I think that’s unfounded. Take for example Patton Oswalts tweet from below – it was a response to Trump’s refusal to answer frankly rude reporter Jim Acosta.

This kind of reaction helps no one. Trump simply wouldn’t answer questions from CNN, one of the few news networks that reports fake news. After Acosta wouldn’t take no for an answer, Trump labeled his network “fake news.” which was greeted with applause from the audience.

I’m sorry, but in this situation, Acosta has no right to address Trump. People like Patton Oswalt, and Trump supporters, need to calm down and actually show legitimate grievances. They don’t understand that pointing out misinformation and a culture of outrage will only further delegitimize them and actually strengthen arguments and support for Trump. If you don’t have a valid complaint then don’t make one up. They will only make it more difficult for you to state your case later, for example the boy who cried wolf. Let’s all try to get along well, whatever our race or creed.

This is just me getting into the world of politics. I’ll probably cover more political chapters if it really interests me, but we’ll see.
