RedSec Battlefield Mode – Previously, EA and DICE had confirmed via their blog that the Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6 was indeed being developed. They also gave a little hint about what players can expect, as well as announcing the session playtest has started.
And after months full of rumors and leaks, EA has finally officially introduced the Battle Royale mode free to play which is entitled RedSec Battlefield. This mode was released at the same time as Season 1 which also presented lots of new content; starting from new maps, additional modes, vehicles, various weapons, and much more.

With Season 1, EA has finally confirmed that a new Battle Royale mode called Battlefield RedSec will be present at the same time. This announcement itself was released via their official Twitter post where the official gameplay trailer was also broadcast on YouTube at the same time.
As for the schedule itself, this trailer will be released on October 28 2025 at 22.00 WIB. Only a few hours left, brott!
This announcement comes shortly after DICE shared some major changes to the Battle Royale mode. Some of these include changes in timing time to kill melee range to make combat feel more balanced, increased armor capacity from 1 to 2, bug fixes in the map, and balancing of various vehicles.
This game itself has set a new record in the history of this series. According to EA, the first three days after release saw sales of over 7 million copies, with a peak of 747,000 concurrent players on Steam making it one of the most popular games on the platform.
